Very old software I wrote

I put here some very very old software I wrote in basic or in C before 2005. In many cases, it can be run on DOSBOX or Windows 3.1 and the source files are included.

Old software

Fantacalcio 1.4 per DOS

An Italian fantasy football management program, written in Visual Basic for DOS and in assembly language. It was tailored to work properly on an Olivetti M200 of a friend of mine, so it requires little memory and computing power. I built the text user interface from scratch and that was most of the work. The mouse is not entirely supported, but the program can be fully used with the keyboard. The source code exploits a neat trick to include small assembly routines in basic strings that are then executed. I used a tool by Francesco Balena that used the DEBUG command to compile the source code and generated the strings to be included in the programs. At the time, I really liked this hack!

Analsysis 2.3beta2 (1998-2002), FR, IT

I wrote Analysis many years ago for the Microsoft Windows operating system. I worked on this software, dedicated to function plotting, from 1997 to 2002. It is quite small and easy to use and runs on Windows 3.1. With the pages about the fractals, Analysis was one of the reasons why I built this website in 1998. Computers and Internet were so different back then. I really wanted to share my little software!
